The concept was to utilize pieces from Mayas spaces and architecture to structure the exhibition path.
We utilize platforms, steps, moulding, for their abstract and geometrical value : also the colour code was helping in guiding visitors.
The basic colour was a sand warm grey- the actual ruins colour-, while several themes-like architecture, royal power, sacred rites- were painted in red – the original cities colour, both accompanied by inserted “azul maya” volumes for didactic explanations.
The exhibition was generously illuminated to give the idea of natural light.
